Sendai has made the headlines in 2011 as a victim of the major tsunami that stroke Japan’s North East seashore and the Daiichi nuclear power plant catastrophe.

As a result of this terrible event, Tohoku University is now focusing their research on alternative power generation solutions and they equipped with a complex solar system. As researchers, they need to communicate on the result of their work and they tapped on LM3LABS for creating a futuristic interface for presenting their research.

LM3LABS used holographic projection with Ubiq’window to create a very large interactive surface. The result is an amazing 3D feeling. Content can be navigated with hands without any contact with the surface which allows smooth and swift actions.

Ubiq’window can be bought online on LM3LABS shop.
