Interactivity + Generosity to fight breast cancer

RunforcurelogoRunforthecure

Catchyoo is an official sponsor of the Run for the Cure Foundation. The Run for the Cure foundation’s mission is to eradicate breast cancer in Japan as a life-threatening disease through education, timely screening, and treatment.

Other sponsors
aside Catchyoo are companies like North West Airlines,
Hilton, New Balance, Helena Rubinstein, HSBC, Morgan Stanley, Merrill
Lynch and some other world-class brands.

It is important for us at LM3, as a leader in our domain, to share what we can share to help our community.
Part of this sponsorship, Catchyoo is used in multiple locations in
Japan to raise awareness of Japanese public about the breast cancer.

Charity is not new to LM3 as some of LM3′s servers are used by Standford University’s program folding@home which simulates the folding of proteins, a simulation necessary to
understand Alzheimer, Parkinson, Mad Cow disease (BSE), and other
cancer-related syndromes.

All our partners and clients indirectly (and often without knowing) contribute to improving our world.

Watch your step!

NTT ICC celebrates 10th Anniversary

If you are in Tokyo between April 21st and June 7th, pay a visit to NTT InterCommunication Center’s 10th Anniversary. There are great things to see.

NTT ICC is a cultural center which aims at bridging art and technology and it hosts the best "interactivity" artists in the world.

Of course there is an impressive Ubiq’window AirStrike but there are great artists exposing amazing projects integrating images, interactivity, art, sounds… This exhibit is one of the best from NTT ICC (our point of view).

The Expo is called The Future of Media x Art.

Hacking Dynamic Signage, just a beginning.

April 10th, 2007 | Posted in Life! | No Comments »

It is just a beginning but it shows something. Plasma screens for dynamic signage in New York are hacked by artists who transform them into temporary art works.

Taking a sociologist’s hat, we can interpret it as: "we do not want to be spectators, fed with what you want us to see, we wanna be part of the story".

It is a nothing else for an cry for a "we want something else", for engagement,…for interactivity.

Received from our partners in Australia Rod and Caren…  their cute dog Tia.   ;-)

Euro improvement…

Nicolas’s note: We replaced the previous posting‘s video from YouTube by a vpod.tv posting.

vpod.tv is a venture from my former boss Martin Varsavki.

Better quality, faster download +… the Euro touch.

Just like for Ubiq’window and Catchyoo it is time that America leaves some space to Europe. ;-)

PS: and oh, by the way it comes with its own QR code… Japanese touch…
