AirStrike hits the “Touch” industry at its weakest point: Personal Computing

March 18th, 2008 | Posted in AirStrike, Movies | Comments Off

While most of the planet wakes up to touch technologies (phones, mp3 players, show windows, kiosks, screens,…), LM3LABS pioneer again with free air interactivity for Personal Computers, more precisely for keyboards as a complemetary input device to keyboards, mice and other trackpads, providing an additional way to navigate in digital contents.

It is also right on time to bring the interactivity layer to the 3D screens growing wave.

Touchless, multi-point and smart enough to recognize gestures, distantly and accurately. It is AirStrike.

Catchyoo is deployed in many churches in Japan. It enhances cult ceremonies and integrates very well into the architecture.

The design can be easily changed from week to week, personalized for weddings, customized to baptisms, Easter, Xmas, etc…

Officers can easy manage the content themselves without knowledge about computing.

Going to church in Japan is like a renewed experience.

National Archives of Malaysia deploy  ubiq’window AirStrike, the free air version of ubiq’window at Abdul Rahman Memorial Centre (the founder of today’s Malaysia).

ubiq’window is the only high-precision technology in the world to provide a 100% free air, touchless interactivity.

Ubiq’window lets integrators create interactive zones associated to real-life, non-digital objects.
At National Archives of Malaysia, 3 "real-world" books are associated to 3  different contents.  Then visitors can turn pages of the projected screen, naturally, at distance, by pointing in the air.

This interactivity requires no training for people who instinctively know how to use the installation.

This installation is the perfect illustration of computer vision-based interactivity applied to  museums. The project was conducted by Alternative Advertisement.

A semi-transparent character was added to the actual installation picture to illustrate the way visitors  interact with the installation.
